One of the major causes of indoor pollution is paint, varnishes and solvents. Most paints contain harmful VOC's. VOC's (Volatile Organic Compound) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Thankfully there are now many healthy alternatives to the "Killer" paints of yesterday. We do our best to keep up to date on the latest available low VOC alternatives in paints, glazes and plasters to keep both you and us safe.

F.Y.I.- Did you know that what alot of contractors sell as "Venetian Plasters" are just a Hybrid Acrylic paint? Using those products are a disservice to you and the beauty of your home. They may be easier and cheaper for the contractor to use but they do not hold a candle to the movement, depth and shine of authentic Venetian Plasters. The product we choose to use is made of a NATURAL Lime-Based plaster from Italy, which contains no synthetics and has a minimum of 42% real MARBLE. It is all organic, no VOC's and is anti-mold which means it is great for bathrooms, kitchens and pretty much anywhere else you can think of. Please don't be fooled by the cheap imitations!

Just like you, we are concerned about our health and the environment. Anytime we can use these great low-VOC alternatives we do. We have learned over time what to use and where. Certain finishes, such as exterior sealing of garage doors or high abuse areas may need to be sealed with an Oil based product. As soon as a healthier alternative is available for these situations we will definitely be using them.
